Should you buy one if you plan to overclock to the max? nope. I owned an Arctic cooler in the past for a Core i5 750 running at 3.6Ghz (sold it to family after reapplying thermal paste and it's still running to this day with the same cooler) and i've been 100% satisfied. As good as their products are they are not 2-3 times better than the competition. The price of the products by those companies really is often totally ridiculous. to about everyone on forums including Joe Blow from Azerbaijan who is building his first PC. Everyone and their mom recommend Seasonic, Corsair, Noctua. I mean if i would be serious about overclocking i would probably build a custom loop anyway.Īt one point we got to talk about the price. I can certainly live with that to spend 80$ CAD more on my gpu. But under normal usage with a mild overclocking my cpu will be maybe 2-3 celcius higher while gaming. like really? Is the H5 as good as the NH-D15? No it's not. I mean close to 10% of the price of my build on a air cooler. I did not even remotely consider the NH-D15. I bought a Cryorig H5 3 years ago for like 35-40% of the price of a NH-D15. Under normal usage (not 100% load all the time) is it really 2-3 times better than other air coolers?
